Abstract

Pengelolaan botol plastik pada bank sampah menghadapi persoalan praktis berupa kebutuhan ruang penyimpanan dan penanganan material yang kurang efisien ketika botol dikumpulkan dalam kondisi utuh. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan PRESBOT SEMARAK (Pengepres Botol Plastik) sebagai teknologi tepat guna untuk mendukung keberlanjutan bank sampah di Desa Cerme Kidul, Kabupaten Gresik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata melalui identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan, pembuatan alat, pengujian fungsi, demonstrasi penggunaan, dan serah terima kepada masyarakat. Alat dikembangkan menggunakan konstruksi kayu dengan mekanisme tuas manual sehingga pengoperasiannya tidak bergantung pada sumber energi listrik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tersedianya tiga unit alat yang diperkenalkan melalui demonstrasi langsung kepada masyarakat dan ditempatkan sebagai sarana pendukung kegiatan bank sampah. Selain menghasilkan produk fisik, kegiatan diarahkan pada transfer keterampilan agar masyarakat memahami cara mengoperasikan dan merawat alat serta memiliki peluang untuk mengembangkan atau membuat unit serupa secara mandiri. PRESBOT SEMARAK merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Gerakan Desa SEMARAK (Sehat, Aman, Sejahtera, Kreatif), khususnya melalui penguatan kreativitas dan pengelolaan lingkungan berbasis masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun keberlanjutan program bank sampah melalui teknologi sederhana yang dapat digunakan dan dikembangkan pada tingkat lokal.
